Here is the thing… I’m a salty kinda guy. If I have the option between something savory or something sweet, I always choose savory. As a result, I’ve actually had and enjoyed a peanut butter and olive sandwich. The important thing to note is that they aren’t for everyone.
Tune in next week, in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day we will have a six part story debuting and it will feature Saint Patrick’s Day!

You should try a peanut butter, cheese and tomato sandwich…you get a taste of all the food groups that way!
That's protein, grains, fat, dairy, and fruit, but we would still need a vegetable for the sandwich (my best friend for like 15 years is now a registered dietitian so I've been trained to know that tomatoes are technically a fruit). I say to balance it out we put a pickle on it!
Peanut butter, strawberry jam, cheese, and pickle samdwiches are one of my favorites. But then again, I also really like mustard and American cheese on chocolate chip cookies (or just the mustard, which is also good on brownies)
Alright, I'm trying this for lunch. Let's see how it goes…

It was ok. We only had rye bread. I think it would've been better on potato or wheat.
Then I was lazy and used pre-cut sandwich pickles instead of the good kind. It wasn't very good so I pulled the pickles off (gave them to the dogs) and sliced up some fresh ones. It was a noticeable difference.
The only other odd thing is I used swiss cheese. I think some strong cheddar would've been better.
That, good sir, is a monstrosity.
Y'know, you're right. I had completely forgotten about veggies! I think next time I'm gonna try it with a sliced pickle as well; sounds like it might be interesting. But which one? Now that is a pickle…
Whatever happened to good old peanutbutter and sliced bannana sandwichs 🙁
My girlfriend eats those.
Blargh. I think I'm going to go make a chorizo, ham and cheese burrito.
So, about the peanutbutter and olive sandwich though … black or green olives?
Aawww…
That's so sweet
