Episode 269
If you are a new reader, you might want to subscribe to “Holiday Wars” as well as start reading it from the beginning. Once you’re caught up on the main storyline then checkout the side stories in “Tales of Holiday’s Past.”
The knife was Anna’s (Memorial Day’s) and you don’t need to know anything more than that. However for those of you who do want to know more… all will be revealed in the prequel novel (whenever that comes out).
Well as awesome as this is…. i don't see it ending well.
The question is… would I kill off Taylor?
Yes…
I would for the sake of a good story.
That's an US Army M1918 trench knife. So Memorial Day was a girl in a WWI soldier uniform?
Or maybe she just carried the personal effects of a passed on soldier?
Hmm.. I can see perpetually heartbroken conservatively dressed girl being right up the ally of a blue collar guy like Labor Day…
Some of your guessing is near the mark and some is wayyyy off 🙂
Expected.. it's technically 2 kind of opposite guesses.. with bonus speculation =)
Memorial Day was a would bea war widow, thats why she would be Memorial Day and not Veterans Day
Yeah.. The second idea in my speculation was leaning toward a WWI war widow, hence the personal effects etc.
If you want to speculate… maybe try looking into the actual origin of Memorial Day. When was the Holiday first celebrated? Why? etc….
Gah! homework! *to the Google-mobile!*
you know…we've been seeing a lot of just how EVIL Easter is. and yeah, bad. What i'm curious about though..we already know he/she used to be a FEMALE, human pagan godess type…and now is a male anthropomorphic rabbit..which, unless you're a Furry, is NOT a happy transition.(I imagine the bunny HATES furries) SO what i wanna know is: at what point did he/she just SNAP? because let's face it, these are not the actions of a sane individual.
We are winding down to the end of Volume I (which should wrap in April or May) and you'll have your answer by then. Also keep an eye out for the new ToHP story that launches this Thursday. It's Bunny centric and delves into his/her past.
Wasn't he threatened with Memorial Day's death before he put the sonic bomb into Santa's sleigh?
Thats the gist but there is alot more to it.
The real question Scott isn't would kill of Taylor, it's who are you willing to kill off to keep the story going? After the Easter Bunny falls, whenever that is you're probably going to have side stories of what happened after and searching for the new holiday manifestations. That's just for starters.
Volume 2 is called "Winter's Wrath" so thats a bit of a hint at what is to come.
Hrmmm. . .lets see. . . Fair Folk are part of the equation, next volume has a Wintery theme (to judge from the title) so. . .if/when The Bunny falls. . .
Oh god. . .
Mab.
When did Scott say the fey were showing up in volume 2?
April Fools is part Fey. . . if I remember correctly.
I never did say. In fact I'll go right out and say that none of The Fair Folk will appear in Volume 2.
…but that doesn't mean they won't be showing up somewhere else.
/me sings
Winter's wrath up! Winter's wrath up!
Let's finish our holidays! Cheer!
Winter's wrath up! Winter's wrath up!
'Cause tomorrow death is here.
'Cause tomorrow death is here.
Now I have that song stuck in my head again! =)
Is it a real song with just changed lyrics?
'Winter Wrap-up' from the first season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
