We’ve not had a death in awhile. Now would be an excellent time to kill off Black Friday…
NOOOOO! How am I supposed to get that shinny new tv I want if he kills black friday?!
In the real world we'd still celebrate the holiday. …it just wouldn't have a Holiday counter part.
Bully!
Pretty much.
Surely Black Friday would have something up his sleeve when confronting a dangerous murderer?
This scene ends on Monday so if he is going to do something, time is running out.
Ummm, what holiday is Teddy Roosevelt?
Has to be President's Day. It's the only one I can think of that kind of fits. Roosevelt was known for his conservation and wildlife efforts in founding the national park system but we already have Arbor Day and Earth Day accounted for. He also stressed education and helped the arts and museums, but I can't think of any actual holidays associated with that. Although he did have a reputation as a wartime commander it wasn't during one of the major wars so it's not logical for him to be one of the war holidays. I had briefly thought he might be a forest fire prevention holiday of some sort but there isn't one so that leaves President's Day by process of elimination.
If he is presidents day why is he Teddy and not another President?
i called it!!! shuffles along into a dance..
as i said before teddy bear day is actually Theodore Roosevelt day its his birthday. president day is for all presidents, but teddy bear day is theo's birthday and some would say he resembled a teddy bear.
It's Not Teddy Bear Day.
Scott. check few back pages where i was deducing that he might actually look like theo..that part i was calling secondly when everyone was saying he might be a bear, even thought in the post above i did get ahead of my self and say that it was teddy day, i should been more clear..
if it is all the dead presidents day rolled into one holiday and there on the bunnies side then giai has more to be concerned with them being a faction of there own and working with them
"Teddy isn’t President’s day. He’s part of President’s Day." …that's all I can say until we get into Act III. 😉
I'll spill some beans…
Teddy isn't President's day. He's part of President's Day.
President's day SALE weekend vs Black Friday…. Who has the best deals?
LOL you totally made me laugh and at the same time touched upon the thematic issue behind the this struggle.
Personally, I think Black Friday has some tricks up his sleeve, and isn't as weak as everyone thinks.
If holidays are somewhat like gods, where they need followers, belief, and rituals; things like that, then wouldn't a holiday that manages to get a LIVING SACRIFICE each year be powerful? At least one person has died at a walmart for the last… 5 years I remember.
If that's not power, I'm not sure what would be for a holiday. Besides just volume of followers.
Good theory.
Indeed. I've never gotten roughed up during President's Day sales weekend… But I've gotten plenty of bruises during Black Friday (scary people doing psycho shopping and people not paying attention).
They've indicated popular belief, mankind's unconsciousness, shapes the holidays appearance. If it also affects their power, then Teddy should be in trouble. People, especially worldwide, are more conscious of Black Friday than President's day, especially in it's guise as Teddy Roosevelt whom no one has associated with the holiday for decades. (which I assume is why it was using Teddy, as both Lincoln and Washington are more recognizable and wore suits that wouldn't work for being disguised as TLAPD). Christmas and the traditional sales day after are celebrated worldwide, while president's day is definately only in the US.
I got it! Black Friday has the power to create a mob, like he can become multiple people at once. Have you ever faced a mob of shoppers on Black Friday? Scary!
heh, Teddy was so awesome that when you make an amalgam of all the past presidents personalities all you see is teddy.
or he can switch.
