Old Debts 12
If you are a new reader, you might want to subscribe to “Holiday Wars” as well as start reading it from the beginning. Once you’re caught up on the main storyline then checkout the side stories in “Tales of Holiday’s Past.”
What should Sinterklass do? Should he free Loki and start Ragnarok? Should he leave him and let Ragnarok start? Or should he kill Loki and try to prevent Ragnarok?
I wonder if he's given any thought to just having Loki moved.
How would you move him without freeing him?
Move the rock. Although, he might need more than eight reindeer for that – that's a big rock.
And moving the serpent might be tricky as well …
😉
😛
well he could move the rock so that serpent's venom is not dripping on the loki face, but where would you put it and what would be a better solution to his punishment for killing a god that was unkillable and Loki found the one thing that could in fact kill him..
i dont think there really any way to solve this unless you feed him to the wolf.
Ok, do I need to clean my glasses, or is this page drawn in a slightly different style from/than/to previous pages by the same artist?
I think it looks different because he shifted the style in the flashback that appeared last week. So then coming back to the normal look seems abrasive.
Is Loki a monster?
Loki represents the bridge between law and chaos and how the Norse perceived them. To them even the gods were transient and had to end in Ragnarok. Curious how the fellow who stood in both worlds is pretty much outcast from both.
A thought occurs to me, that Loki is rather similar to a modern day teenager.
So. yeah. bout that. monster eh?
Norse mythology isn't set in stone. Sometimes Loki is refereed to as a god and sometimes he isn't. It kinda depends on what source material is being used. Sometime he is jötunn, sometimes he is half-jötunn, and sometimes he's something completely unknown.
As for Santa's dialog, that is Santa's opinion based off the story he just heard. Loki committed murder for the challenge of seeing if he could do it. To Santa (ok ok ok he's Sinterklass and not Santa yet but you know who I mean) that's a pretty monstrous thing.
Good eye Moe!
I actually inked this page with a brush instead of my usual micron pens. Just experimenting a little because it was dialogue heavy page between the two characters.
