Never Drink Green Beer 1
If you are a new reader, you might want to subscribe to “Holiday Wars” as well as start reading it from the beginning.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! For once I actually timed a storyline to coincide with a real world Holiday (I’m sorta proud of myself cause it’s a lot harder to do than it sounds).
Today kicks off a six part story that is drawn by Jeff Rusland. He’s a Canadian and we were so happy with his work that he’s come on board for a second ToHP story and a secret project we’ve not yet announced. And here is a better descritpion of himself in his words:
Born and raised in Brockville On. Canada,Jeff always wanted to be a comic book artist. He became a chef instead. Giving up the cheffing buisiness Jeff is now a freelance artist working on fullfilling his dream of becomeing a full time artist. Jeff lives and works in Toronto area.
So basically he likes to draw and doesn’t like to cook!
Aw… 🙁 National Ice Cream Day is dead…. I hope Pi Day is ok (March 14th)… Pi and Pie always fun.
Pretty much ALL the holidays are dead (except for the main cast and a small handful of others). The war has been going on for 16 years, which has left a lot of casualties. …but that doesn't mean we won't get to see or meet them.
so just how many holidays are we going to meet and see?
You'll find out next week.
As for the main storyline, we have a few surprises for the end of Act II, but other than that, you've met all the players for Volume 1. Volume 2 will introduce a lot of new characters, but we are more than a year away from it.
The question that has been rattling around in my skull is… "What happens to a holiday that dies? "
After the mid-point (the whole sequence taking place at the casino), we'll check back in on Haven for Flag Day's funeral and you'll find-out.
I've been wondering that, too. Are we celebrating dead holidays?
(Whispers) I celebrate dead people.
National Ice Cream Day is dead? Damn you bunny.
